1 May (May Day) is a Family Day in Kaposvár – a fun day to be spent together in the City Parks offering a wide range of programmes.
Morning and afternoon activities focus mainly on children and young families and various activities – recreational and entertainment programmes, concerts, a puppet show and craft workshops – are available to all.

In the afternoon, various sports events take place where family teams are expected to complete different tasks and prove their physical prowess in sports. There are stalls on the green, swing boats and small fairground rides.

Later in the day, the entertainment will include live music – concerts for the younger generation are always very popular. Culinary delights are also on offer – local food sellers cater for the public.
